ABOUT NICHOLE
Minister . Compassionate Leader . Author . Speaker

Reverend Nichole L. Edness is a devoted servant leader, born in Bermuda and raised in New York as the youngest of six children. She completed her early education in the New York public school system and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business & Management from SUNY Old Westbury in 1989.
In 1988, while attending a retreat, Rev. Edness received a divine call to ministry, hearing the words: “I have called you to preach, teach, minister, and missions.” Obedient to that call, she began preparing for ministry, becoming an ordained deacon in 1994. In 1999, she completed her Master of Divinity at Colgate Rochester Divinity School and was ordained an elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church that same year.
Rev. Edness currently serves as the Minister of Membership Nurture at The Greater Allen Cathedral of New York, under the leadership of Rev. Steven Greene. In this role, she provides spiritual care through bereavement support, pastoral visitation, and coordination of services for the sick and shut-in. She also ministers regularly as a preacher, teacher, and worship leader.
A committed missionary, Rev. Edness has led multiple mission teams from The Greater Allen Cathedral to Iris Ministries in Maputo, Mozambique, where they served at an orphanage caring for over 350 children.
She is the proud mother of one son, Nicholas Alexander Edness.
